Rotaract in Great Britain & Ireland

Rotaract in Great Britain & Ireland (RGBI) is a large organisation made up of hundreds of individual clubs - but how is it structured?

There is a National RGBI President and committee officers that head up Rotaract. The UK is then split up into several large numbered Districts, which each report up to RGBI.

Map - District 1090 in the UK West Berkshire falls into District 1090 which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire and currently has 10 active clubs with more on the way! Each Rotaract Club is therefore governed by its District Council.

The big annual event for the entire RGBI is the National Conference that is hosted by various Districts in turn. Due to the UK's fantastic winning bid to host EUCO in 2008 (European Rotaract Conference), there will be an RGBI mini-conference on the Saturday afternoon.

The next RGBI National Conference will be held in Caerdyff, Cymru (Cardiff, Wales) in May 2009 - our District 1090 is hosting the event and it will be unmissable! PLUS - this will be the first ever National Conference to be held in Wales. The website will be available once EUCO closes on May 4th.
